Tips on picking a limo service

When to book the limo?

If you are booking a unique or exotic vehicle like a Rolls Royce or Excalibur, then you would want to book 7-8 months in advance to insure availability. The same would go for party buses as there are not as many. If you are booking a standard limo which includes SUV's then 3-6 months in advance should be fine.

Where to find a limo?

The best place to find a limo is through a reference from family or friends. Someone who has used the service from that company already and can let you know their experience. Wedding photographers also usually know a great deal about limo companies, which ones showed up on time at the park photoshoot vs. which ones made the whole day run late.

Make sure your company OWNS the limo.

Many companies may book certain limo's that they do not own. Make sure they are not subcontracting the car out from another company because this is where mixups happen. If the other company gets more of their own bookings they make more money, and this will result in your car not showing up, or the car you booked not showing up.

Maps

Make sure you send maps to the limo company with all of your destinations as well as make sure to bring an extra copy on the day of. It should be there job to make sure they know where they are going but anything that you can do to make sure things go smooth, does not hurt.

Deposit

Do not give the limo company all of the money for the service up front, make sure that a hefty amount is received after the service is complete in order to insure they arrive.

Contract

Make sure and have a clear and concise contract, including times and types of vehicles.
